Mayfair’s Le Comptoir Robuchon has unveiled a new seasonal cocktail menu, Les Crèations. Created by Bar Manager Mattia Varriale, the cocktails are inspired by the lush flavours of the gastrodome and the transition to warmer weather in London.
The new Les Crèations menu is made up of 12 carefully blended and innovative cocktails on the ‘Les Crèations’ menu. The new menu is presented in two sections:
Avant – created for aperitivo-hour, a collection of cocktails to kick off the evening and serve as an appetiser to dinner in the restaurant. Cocktail lovers can sip elegantly on the ‘Archipelago’, a tropical inspired rum cocktail with pineapple and tonka bean syrup, ‘Jasmine Rivier’, a modern take on the classic botanist gin martini with a twist and the ‘Amore Amaro’, a bitter fusion of gin and campari.
Après – a considered menu of glamorous post-dining nightcaps that pack a sophisticated punch. End the evening with ‘Vice-Roi’, a champagne cocktail with crème de cacao and crème de banana or ‘Le Soleil’, a whisky based cocktail topped with limoncello foam.
“I have designed a two-part cocktail menu that reflects the experimental and forward thinking creations of the late Joël Robuchon hence the title ‘les crèations’, for people to enjoy at any hour,” said Bar Manager Mattia Varriale. “I aimed to marry the traditional French flavours Le Comptoir Robuchon is known for with the freshness that coincides with the warmer weather of summer. Like many of the restaurant’s creations, the presentation of the cocktails always veers towards spectacle.”
The bar also serves four non-alcoholic cocktails which take the ‘low and no’ to reinvent favourites.
Le Comptoir Robuchon is open Monday – Saturday at 12 – 2:30pm for lunch sittings and 5:30 – 11pm for dinner sittings. It is located at 6 Clarges St, London W1J 8AE.
