Trinchero Family Estates has acquired Tres Agaves Tequila. The California wine and spirits company purchased the agave spirits brand for an undisclosed sum. Since 2012, Trinchero Family Estates (TFE) has managed the sales, distribution and marketing for Tres Agaves Tequila.

The Tres Agaves brand includes: 100 percent de Agave Organic Blanco, Organic Reposado, and Organic Anejo Tequilas, as well as Organic Lime Margarita, Organic Strawberry Margarita, Organic Bloody Mary, and Organic Agave Nectar Cocktail Mixers.
Tres Agaves opened its first distillery in Amatitán, Mexico last March, and all the Tequilas will continue to be crafted at the distillery. The mixer production will remain consistent as well.
Founded in 1948, TFE is the world’s second largest family-owned winery and the fourth largest winery in the US. The company’s portfolio includes more than 50 wine and spirits brands distributed in nearly 50 countries.
Tres Agaves is part of TFE’s spirits and speciality beverages division, which also includes Sugar Island Rum, Hanson of Sonoma Organic Vodka, Amador Whiskey Company, and Trincheri Vermouth.
The entire agave spirits market continues to grow at a considerable rate, and major spirits firms have been making their presences felt across the sector. Last month, Pernod Ricard announced a new partnership with Ojo de Tigre Mezcal.
