The UK’s Biggest Outdoor Gin Festival Taking Place In Surrey

On September 11, the biggest outdoor gin festival in the UK is set to take place in Surrey. The Surrey Gin Fest is happening at Loseley Park near Guildford, from noon until 9pm, with thousands expected to show up for the event.

The Surrey Gin Fest will feature gin-makers from across the globe, including businesses close to home such as Cocoa Island, a chocolate shop based in Brockham Green which has recently branched out into gin; Distillers of Surrey, a family-run distillery in Ripley; The Gin Inn and Nibbs Gin, both in Farnham; Silent Pool Distillers from Albury; Surrey Copper Distillery in Cranleigh, and Wornley’s Wessex Distillery. Additionally, attractions will include a main stage with live entertainment as well as artisan food stalls that put local produce in the spotlight.

BBC Radio Surrey and Sussex presenter Allison Ferns are set to host the main stage. Others appearing live include West End performer Carl Patrick Morris, Take That tribute band Relight, and The Sundaes, who made the finals in BBC One singing competition All Together Now.

“We’ve come out of lockdown and now people want to be out and about enjoying themselves,” said Organizer David Hill. “This is the perfect opportunity to do just that. It’s a chance to celebrate the extraordinary craftsmanship of independent Surrey, British and worldwide gin distillers with over 100 gins to try. There will be delicious hot and cold artisan food, captivating demonstrations on everything gin, and live entertainment.

Tickets are priced at £18.90 and can be purchased via Festicket.
