Perrier-Jouet Collaborates With Christie’s On Maison Belle Epoque Visits

Perrier-Jouet Christie’s Maison Belle Epoque Visits

Perrier-Jouet and Christie’s have announced a two-year global collaboration, offering collectors the chance to visit Maison Belle Epoque, the residence of the Champagne house’s founding family. The iconic house is home to one of the largest private collections of Art Nouveau in Europe. The partnership will include custom experiences for Christie’s clients that build on the two brand’s shared passion for wine and art.

In June 2021, Christie’s will hold an auction showcasing “exceptional” Champagnes from the house and VIP experiences from Perrier-Jouet at the auction house’s London headquarters.

“Our two houses are united by a long-standing shared history. In 1888, Christie’s offered the Perrier-Jouët 1874 vintage, which at the time established the record for the most expensive Champagne ever sold at auction,” said Alexander Staartjes, Perrier-Jouët’s prestige director. “Today we are proud to be renewing our ties with Christie’s to once again bring the Perrier-Jouët’s ‘Art of Vintage’ to life for its clients,” he added.

“Christie’s is delighted to collaborate with Perrier-Jouët as our preferred Champagne partner globally,” said Tim Triptree MW, international director for Christie’s wine & spirits. “Building on the long established history between Christie’s and Perrier-Jouët dating back to the 19th century, we are proud that Christie’s collectors across the globe will be able to enjoy Perrier-Jouët’s prestigious cuvées.”

The Perrier-Jouet and Christie’s collaboration will run until the end of 2022.

In December, for Design Miami/ 2020, Maison Perrier-Jouet revisited its collaboration with the Austrian design practice mischer’traxler, founded by Katharina Mischer and Thomas Traxler. Curiosity Cloud is a reflection on the relationship between man and nature, the influence of human activity on the natural world, and the importance of biodiversity. The mindful theme is in keeping with Maison Perrier-Jouet’s values; the champagne house has a 200-year heritage of evolving in symbiosis with nature, which includes an ambitious new program to promote sustainable viticulture and reduce its own environmental impact.
