Kylie Minogue has added a cru classé Provence rosé to her eponymous wine range. The new offering from the pop star comes as her pink Prosecco tracks to sell a million bottles by the end of 2021.

Kylie Minogue 2020 Cru Classé Côtes de Provence Rosé is made from a blend of 45% Cinsault, 25% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 10% Carignan and 5% Cabernet. The grapes come from the mineral-rich clay-limestone soils of Château Sainte Roseline’s cru classé estate in Les Arcs-Sur-Argens in Côtes de Provence. Situated just north of St. Tropez and stretching over 110 hectares, the chateau received its cru classé designation back in 1955.

The grapes are hand harvested at night. They are gently pressed then lees aged after fermentation to give the wine added texture and depth.

A pale rosey-pink in color, the wine offers alluring, expressive aromas of pink grapefruit, watermelon and lemon blossom. The textured palate is crisp and dry with zesty fruits leading to a long, silky mineral finish

Priced at £32 a bottle, the rosé has gone on sale at Harvey Nichols and through the Kylie Minogue Wines website. It is also available at private members’ club Annabel’s in Mayfair.

The high-end Provence pink joins the singer’s expanding portfolio of wines, which include Prosecco Rosé, Rosé, Vin de France, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Organic Brut Reserva Cava, Côtes de Provence, Côtes de Provence Cru Classé Rosé, Margaret-River Chardonnay, and Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2020.

Kylie added the Margaret River Chardonnay and Yarra Valley Pinot Noir to her lineup last December. They are the first two Australian wines to be added to her lineup and celebrate her homeland. The wines come from two of Australia’s best known wineries. The Chardonnay is made by Howard Park’s chief winemaker Janice McDonald. The Yarra Valley Pinot Noir, meanwhile, is being made by De Bortoli Wines, with winemaker Steve Webber looking after the project.
