Kali Uchis Stars In New Campaign For 1800 Cristalino Tequila

|

1800 Tequila has partnered with singer-songwriter Kali Uchis and director Jenn Nkiru for a video campaign promoting its new Cristalino expression. Dubbed “Held Higher,” the brand says, “Higher taste is always within reach. A clear añejo tequila that’s patiently aged, carefully finished, and meticulously filtered. It’s held on a higher shelf for a reason.”

The 1800 Cristalino video advertisement focuses on elevating “everyday moments”, and is set to a remix of Telepatía by Uchis from Sin Miedo (del Amor y Otros Demonios), her first Spanish album.

In the 1800 campaign, Uchis plays a bargoer who is tired of not getting served and decides to reach for a bottle of Cristalino Tequila. After grabbing the bottle, the wall opens up and the singer is transported to a luxurious party.

“I play a risk-taker who defies the traditional bar scene to find my own celebration with like-minded people, dancing the night away to a new remix of Telepatia,” says Uchis. “1800 Cristalino Tequila invites viewers to turn everyday moments into special celebrations by reaching for a higher level of taste.”

The “Held Higher” campaign will be released across national television in the United States, as well as through digital video and social media channels, including BET, Comedy Central, Facebook, FX, Hulu, Instagram, Univision, YouTube, Vevo and more.

Back in August, 1800 Tequila unveiled its 1800 Cristalino expression. The new ultra-premium bottling from the high end spirits maker is a crystal-clear anejo that has been finished in Port wine barrels. Combining its 200-year-old 1800 Añejo Tequila recipe with a Port wine cask finish, 1800 Cristalino offers a crystalline expression packaged in an elegant and eye-catching, luxe glass bottle.

In October, 1800 teamed up with artist Okuda San Miguel on the 10th anniversary edition of its Essential 1800 Artists Series. Through the annual series, the brand uses its bottle  as a canvas to bring art and culture to Tequila-lovers across the United States.
