Gordon Ramsay Wines

Gordon Ramsay has revealed his own brand of California Wines. The chef’s eponymous range will be available at his restaurants and online.

Officially dubbed Gordon Ramsay Signature Wines, the Wines are produced in collaboration with International Wine Expert Nick Dumergue and Master Sommelier Chris Miller at Seabold Cellars in Monterey, California. Currently, eight wines are available, including a 2019 Rosé, a 2018 Pinot Noir, a 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, two Chardonnays, three Cabernet Sauvignons. The wines are all priced between $20 and $60.

The grapes are sourced from sustainable and organic-practicing vineyards. Minimal intervention winemaking is employed in the winery: native yeast fermentations, no ‘adjustments’, restrained use of oak, little-to-no fining or filtration, and responsibly minimal sulfur usage. They are described as, “Balanced, complementary with food, and always 100% Vegan.”

“Wine has always fascinated me – a complex marriage of tradition, art, science, land, and people, all captured together in a glass,” said Ramsay. “My time in California has convinced me that Californian wines stand with the best in the world. Passionate winemakers in California’s cooler climate regions are producing delicious, balanced wines that complement our cuisine. I am delighted to release these Gordon Ramsay Californian wines designed to be enjoyed with food and delicious if drunk on their own.”

Only a few hundred cases of each bottling are being created, with total production topping out at just 2,000 cases. The 2018 Reserve Chardonnay is already sold out.
