A Chic Natural Wine Bar Has Opened On Abbot Kinney In Venice, Only The Wild Ones

|

Only the Wild Ones, a chic natural wine bar, has opened its doors on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Los Angeles’ trendy Venice neighborhood. The new vino slinger has moved into 1201 Abbot Kinney (formerly the Otheroom) and sits next door to the Butcher’s Daughter.

Only the Wild Ones is owned by Heather Tierney of Butcher’s Daughter and design firm Wanderlust Design, and she has also lent her hand in designing the new space. Warm and bright, the space finds exposed bricks meeting blonde wood and splashes of tan. There are fun Venice-style touches in the way of a disco ball and some neon, along with wicker detailing.

There are over 20 by-the-glass natural wine options that cost between $13 and $21. While Italy and France dominate the menu, there are more exotic pours from Lebanon, Slovenia, and Greece as well as a couple offerings from California and Spain. Beyond wine, there are a dozen beers on tap, including drafts from California, Maine, New York, Spain, and more. For those less interested in alcohol, there are a few mocktails and sodas to choose from. Beverage director Grace Gaboury (the Tasting Kitchen, Chi Spacca) is responsible for curating the menu.

On the food side of things, think small plates, salads, and flatbreads. There are two cheese boards, Butcher’s Daughter white bean hummus, and meatless-meatballs & burrata. Those with a sweet tooth will also appreciate the wine bar’s dessert options, which consist of a pot de creme and an olive oil cake.

Only the Wild Ones is currently open with hours from 4 pm to midnight daily.
